Creator Program Terms

1. Who can join

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract where you live. We accept creators anywhere we can legally pay, inside and outside the United States.

We approve applications by hand. We can decline one without giving a reason, and we decline anything that looks like it exists to farm clicks rather than to inform an audience.

Spanstead employees, contractors and their households cannot join.

2. What you earn

You earn 25% of the net amount every referred account pays Spanstead — subscription and seat charges — for as long as that account keeps paying. There is no 12-month limit and no earnings cap.

Your rate rises to 30% once 10 referred accounts are active and paying, and to 35% once 25 are. A rate increase applies from the month you cross the threshold; it is not applied retroactively.

The rate you joined at is guaranteed for 24 months from your approval date, even if we lower the program's published rates.

We also pay a $100 bonus for each referred account that completes activation: at least 1 invoice sent and 5 jobs completed inside its first 90 days. One bonus per account.

Net amount means what the account actually pays us, after discounts, credits, refunds and payment-processing fees, and excluding taxes.

3. How referrals are attributed

Your referral link sets a first-party cookie that lasts 90 days. Your code has no expiry: an account that enters it at signup is attributed to you whenever that happens.

Where both exist and disagree, the code entered at signup wins.

If two creators have a claim on the same account, the last touch before signup takes it. Where that is genuinely unclear, we will tell you how we decided.

Attribution attaches to the account, not to the person who signed up. If they change owners, the account stays yours.

4. Payment

Commission is held for 14 days after we collect the underlying payment, then becomes payable and is paid net-15 on a monthly cycle.

The minimum payout is $10. A balance under it rolls into the next month and never expires.

We pay in USD by bank transfer where we can, and by PayPal or Wise where we cannot. Transfer fees charged by your provider or your bank are yours; we do not deduct our own fee.

Refunds and chargebacks reverse the related commission within 60 days of the payment. After 60 days, commission already paid is never clawed back.

5. Taxes

You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner or agent of Spanstead, and you are responsible for your own taxes.

US creators must provide a W-9 before the first payout; we issue a 1099-NEC where required. Creators outside the US must provide a W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E.

We may withhold payment until the correct tax form is on file.

6. What you agree to do

Disclose the partnership clearly in every piece of content that carries your link or code, in the same language as the content, in line with the FTC's endorsement guides and any rules that apply where you live.

Only make claims about Spanstead that we publish. Do not invent features, prices, results or customer numbers.

Keep your content your own. You do not need our approval to post, and we do not edit your work.

7. What ends the arrangement

Bidding on Spanstead trademarks, our product names or misspellings of them in paid search, or using them in a domain name.

Self-referral: referring yourself, a business you own or control, or an account you administer.

Coupon, deal, cashback and voucher sites, browser extensions that overwrite attribution, and any traffic bought from incentivised or bot sources.

Spam, in any channel, and any content that is illegal, deceptive, or targets people who cannot consent.

We may withhold or reverse commission connected to any of the above, and close the account. We will tell you why.

8. The free workspace and content fees

Approved creators get one free Spanstead workspace on the Growth plan for their own business while they are active in the program. It is for real use, not for resale, and it ends when the program relationship ends — your data stays exportable, as it is on any plan.

Commissioned content is agreed in writing, one piece at a time, at $250 to $1,500. A content fee does not replace commission and does not buy editorial control of your channel.

9. Changing or ending the program

We can change these terms with 30 days' written notice to the email address on your application. Your rate lock survives the change for its full 24 months.

Either of us can end the arrangement at any time, for any reason. If you leave or we close your account without cause, commission already earned is still paid on the normal schedule; ongoing commission on your accounts stops.

If we close your account for conduct in section 7, unpaid commission connected to that conduct is forfeited.

10. The rest

Spanstead's brand assets stay ours; you may use them to promote Spanstead and for nothing else. Your content stays yours, and you allow us to reshare it on our own channels with credit.

Nothing here creates a partnership, franchise or employment relationship.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States.
