Privacy Policy
What we collect, and what we do with it.
Effective September 12, 2026. This page covers the marketing and signup site at spanstead.com — not the Spanstead Works product itself, which has its own in-app privacy terms once you're a customer.
Who we are
This site is operated by Spanstead LLC ("Spanstead," "we," "us"). Questions about this policy or your data go to admin@spanstead.com.
Information you give us
When you apply for the paid pilot, we collect your name, work email, business name, service type, team size, current software or process, and the workflow problem you want to solve. We use this to assess fit, respond to your application, and discuss onboarding and pricing. The application does not collect a password or create an account. If you apply by email, your email app sends those details only when you choose to send the prepared message.
We don't currently collect or store payment card details on this website. If you become a customer, billing is set up directly with you, separately from this site.
When you book a demo you give us your name, work email, company name, and — only if you choose to — a phone number. The phone number is optional: the demo is a screen share, and everything about it works by email if you leave it blank.
Text messages (SMS)
We only send text messages to a mobile number you gave us and explicitly agreed to be texted on. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of booking a demo, applying for the pilot, or buying anything, and we do not text numbers that were given to us for any other purpose.
If you opt in, messages relate to the demo or request you contacted us about — confirmations, reminders, and scheduling changes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email admin@spanstead.com and we will remove your number.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Information collected automatically
We use cookies to remember your cookie preference and, only if you accept, to run Google Analytics so we can see how the site is used. Full detail on what's set, why, and how to change your choice lives on the Cookie Policy page.
How we use your information
- To respond to trial requests and set up an account if you go ahead
- To send you information you've asked for, like a confirmation email
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it.
We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third-party apps or companies for their own purposes — including advertising, marketing, or cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used in the CCPA. That has never been part of how this site operates, and it's not going to become one.
The only outside parties who ever see your information are service providers who help us run this site and respond to you — our hosting provider and, if you've accepted analytics cookies, Google Analytics — and only to the extent needed for them to do that job on our behalf, not their own. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Mobile opt-in data is excluded from all of the above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties — including the service providers named above, and including any future sale, merger, or transfer of the business.
How long we keep it
We keep trial-request information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you become a customer, for the life of that relationship plus whatever period we're legally required to retain records afterward. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see "Your choices" below.
Your choices
You can change or withdraw analytics consent at any time. You can also ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing admin@spanstead.com. If you're a California resident, this includes the specific rights the CCPA gives you over information collected about you — including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data, which we don't do in the first place, so there's nothing to opt out of.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Where your information is processed
We're based in the United States, and information you give us is processed here. This site is intended for businesses in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and product change. We'll update the effective date above when we do; material changes will be called out on this page.
